
We were curious which music genres were getting booked the most in Los Angeles last month, so we used Booking Agent Info’s music industry directory to find all concerts happening within a 50-mile radius and identify their genres.
Rock leads with 28% of bookings. Notable shows include After the Burial at The Wiltern (Aug 9), Tedeschi Trucks Band at the Greek Theatre (Aug 13), and Black Flag at The Glass House in Pomona (Aug 23).
Electronic ranks second at 17%, with Flight Facilities at Gin Ling Way (Aug 9), Eli & Fur at Dream Rooftop (Aug 23), and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano at Avalon (Aug 30).
Pop and Hip-Hop are tied at 14% each. Pop acts include JoJo Siwa at The Belasco (Aug 8), Big Time Rush at Intuit Dome (Aug 26), and Cyndi Lauper at the Hollywood Bowl (Aug 29).
Hip-Hop shows include Wale at Crypto.com Arena (Aug 8), Rio Da Yung OG at The Belasco (Aug 12), and Clipse at The Novo (Aug 23).
R&B makes up 8%, featuring Jorja Smith at Hollywood Palladium (Aug 12), Thee Sacred Souls at Kia Forum (Aug 20–21), and BJ the Chicago Kid at Blue Note Los Angeles (Aug 27).
Latin represents 4% of bookings, including Anuel AA at Crypto.com Arena (Aug 9), Pepe Aguilar at Hollywood Bowl (Aug 15–16), and Neton Vega at BMO Stadium (Aug 23).
