The 2025 Portola Festival returns to Pier 80 in San Francisco on September 20–21.
We used Booking Agent Info’s music industry directory to research the agencies behind this year’s lineup, and compared the results to last year’s. Here’s what we found out:
Once again, Wasserman dominates the booking landscape, representing a staggering 48% of the lineup—up from 46% last year.
That means nearly half the artists at Portola are booked through a single agency. Their roster includes major names like Dom Dolla, Yousuke Yukimatsu, and Ski Aggu, underscoring their stronghold over the electronic and experimental music space the festival is known for.
The biggest climber is United Talent Agency (UTA). Last year, they held 14% of the lineup, but this year they jumped to 22%, securing the second-largest share. Their bookings include heavyweight headliners like Christina Aguilera, The Chemical Brothers, and Arca.
Meanwhile, Creative Artists Agency (CAA) holds steady in third place with 6%, a slight dip from 7% last year. Their artists this year include Mau P, Chris Stussy, and Nate Sib, all strong players in the house and techno scenes.
William Morris Endeavor (WME) saw a decline, down from 13% last year to 6% in 2025. They are repping some of the fests biggest acts like Peggy Gou, Zack Fox, and Dev Hynes.
Independent agencies also saw a drop in presence. Liaison Artists went from 7% last year to just 3%.
Similarly, TBA Agency dropped from 5% to 3%, though they still represent distinctive acts like Nick León and Caribou.
The remaining 12% of the lineup is represented by a variety of other agencies and artists who manage their bookings in-house.
