Mad Cool Festival returns to Madrid tomorrow, July 8th, kicking off four days of music that run through July 11th at Iberdrola Music in the city’s Villaverde district.
This is a milestone year: the festival is marking its tenth anniversary, having launched back in 2016 at La Caja Mágica with Neil Young and The Who.
We wanted to see which agencies are actually behind that anniversary line-up, so we used Booking Agent Info’s music industry database to research the representation of the more than 70 artists performing.
CAA and WME lead the pack, tied at 13% each.
CAA reps headliners Florence + The Machine, Lorde, Twenty One Pilots, The Black Crowes, and others.
WME reps headliners including Foo Fighters, Teddy Swims, and PULP, and others.
UTA at 12%, includes Halsey and David Byrne, as well as Charlie Puth.
THE·TEAM follows at 11%, reps The Warning, The War and Treaty, and The Vaccines, and others.
Primary Talent sits at 5% and reps headliner Kings of Leon and others.
Pure Represents and ROAM each hold 4%; Pure handles Holly Humberstone, Overpass, and Son Mieux, while ROAM reps headliner Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, and others.
Rounding out the mix are several agencies at 2% apiece. Analog Agency represents Aerea and Luxi Villar, Free Trade Agency reps headliner The War on Drugs as well as Matt Berninger, and X-ray Touring handles headliners Moby and Pixies.
30% of the line-up is spread across a variety of other agencies, and artists who handle their bookings in-house, and it also includes winners of Mad Cool’s own talent competition who earned a spot on the bill.
