The EDMAs are taking place on March 27th in Miami. Founded by Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton, the awards trace back to the Radio Remix Awards, which launched in 2016 before evolving into the Electronic Dance Music Awards in their current form.

We wanted to look at where this year’s nominees are coming from, and we used Booking Agent Info’s music industry directory to help research.

The United States leads by a wide margin with 114 artists, while Europe shows the deepest bench overall, led by the United Kingdom with 48 artists.

Outside of Europe and the U.S., with 18 artists. Australia is represented by RÜFÜS DU SOL, who picked up a nomination for Remix of the Year for “In the Moment (Adriatique Remix).”

Belgium’s Amelie Lens is nominated for Female Artist of the Year and Techno Song of the Year, while Brazil’s Beltran landed a nomination for Tech House Artist of the Year.

Canada’s Deadmau5 is up for Favorite B2B, Best Fan Army, and Best Performance, and Colombia is represented by Blessd and Kofla, who are nominated for Favorite Club Track for “Globo.”

France is especially stacked, with HUGEL earning 7 nominations, David Guetta pulling in 11 nominations, the second most overall, and DJ Snake.

Germany’s Boris Brejcha continues that European strength, while the Netherlands’ Martin Garrix leads with 12 nominations, the most of any artist.

Nigeria’s Nicole Moudaber is nominated for Best Radio Show and Techno Song of the Year, Mexico’s Jessica Audiffred is up for Dubstep Artist of the Year, South Korea’s SUNGYOO is nominated for Best New Artist, Ukraine’s ARTBAT is nominated for Techno Song of the Year, and Maltas Carl Bee for Favorite Club Track.

Israel represented by Adam Sellouk. The Philippines is represented by Laidback Luke. Turkey is represented by Tape B.

The U.S. remains dominant as far as nominees with names like John Summit, who picked up 6 nominations.
